Trunnion mounted ball valve, flange gate valves, flange butterfly valves and oxygen pressure reducing valves are the same type of valve, the difference is that its closing member is a sphere, the sphere rotates around the center line of the valve body to achieve the opening and closing of a valve. Features And Benefits
Emergency Stem Sealant Injection
This standard feature allows the valve’s stem housing to be matched to a grease fitting for sealant injection in an emergency, providing protection against unexpected peaks in operating conditions.
Emergency Seat Sealant Injection
This optional feature allows the valve’s end connections to be matched to a grease fitting for sealant injection. This produces an effective seal when the valve seat leaks due to in-service contaminants or unexpected peaks in operating conditions.
Drain and Vent Ports
The drain port, located at the bottom of the valve, is used to release fluid trapped in the shutoff valve body cavity. The vent port, located at the top of the valve body cavity, vents trapped gas from a fully closed valve body cavity. Both play a critical safety role in a double shutoff bleeder valve and/or double isolation bleeder valve configuration.
Double Block Bleed
This safety feature eliminates pressure buildup due to high pressure media trapped in the valve body cavity, even when the valve is in the fully closed position.
Fireproof design
A secondary metal seat design provides fireproof closure in accordance with API 607. In addition, secondary graphite body seals and flexible graphite packing prevent leakage from the body seams and stuffing box, respectively.
Internal trunnion design
Upper and lower bearing plates hold the ball in place, preventing it from floating axially and overloading the seat. External trunnion design is available for some sizes.
Pressure Energized Stem Packing
Our proprietary energizer ring sits on top of the main O-ring stem seal and provides insurance in the rare event of O-ring damage by utilizing media pressure to create an upward compressive force on the packing. This upward force on the packing is combined with the downward compressive force generated when the packing gland is tightened, resulting in a greater net compressive force on the packing and a better seal than typical packing designs.
Double sealing at the valve body connection
The primary elastomer seal ensures no leakage under standard operating conditions. A secondary graphite seal ensures proper body joint sealing under extreme temperature conditions per API 607.
Antistatic devices
Standard antistatic devices ensure electrical continuity between the ball, stem, and body, eliminating the possibility of static charges sparking inside the valve.
Valce Position Indication
Clear stamped markings on the outside diameter of the mounting flange identify the open or closed position of the valve based on the orientation of the stem key.
ISO 5211 mounting pads
Rugged ISO 5211 mounting pads allow for quick transition between the valve and automation components.
Explosion-Proof Stem Design
Valves are designed with a stem/body connection that prevents the stem from bursting under line pressure.
