Side-mounted fixed ball valves are available in split and three-piece designs, with two floating seats that move under media pressure, and with specific springs at the bottom of the seats to ensure that the two seats fit snugly against the ball, pushing the ball against the seat under media pressure to ensure a tight seal.
Fixed ball valves are equipped with removable seat sealing rings, which are displaced by the pressure of the medium, and only when medium pressure is present, the pressure pushes the seat sealing ring against the ball to ensure a tight seal.
